Iowa Arts Festival: Application for Emerging Artist Pavilion

Summer of the Arts invites high school, college, and university students from across the state of Iowa to apply to be featured in this year’s Emerging Artist Pavilion at the Iowa Arts Festival. The deadline to apply is March 25th, 2019, with limited spaces available.

The Iowa Arts Festival will be held Friday – Sunday, May 31st-June 2nd in the heart of downtown Iowa City. This is the eighth year the Emerging Artist Pavilion which provides a unique opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork to an audience of more than 20,000 people throughout the weekend. The Pavilion will be open Saturday and Sunday during the Art Fair.

To apply, emerging artists must be a resident of the state of Iowa and currently enrolled in school (or graduate in May 2019). The application is available online at under the Vendors tab. There is no charge to apply, however if accepted, there will be a nominal fee required to confirm participation. Accepted Emerging Artists will be notified by April 1st, 2019. Summer of the Arts gives preference to artists who have never participated, but previous artists are still encouraged to apply.
