Summer of the Arts is looking for dedicated groups or individuals willing to share information about another country or culture during Children’s Global Village at the 2020 Iowa Arts Festival.
The Iowa Arts Festival will be held Friday – Sunday, June 5th -June 7th in the heart of downtown Iowa City. Children’s Global Village will be featured on Sunday, June 7th. Booths representing different countries and cultures serve as a learning experience for kids and families who visit and participate in the booth’s activities. The activities will take place from 11 AM – 3 PM.
Summer of the Arts provides tents, tables and chairs as well as a passport for the kids to take to each booth and have stamped. If they visit all of the booths, their names go into a drawing for a family pass to the Iowa Children’s Museum, or a gift card to Blick Art Materials. Booth presenters are responsible for providing their own supplies. Each booth will feature a craft or activity to help kids learn more about various countries from around the world.
