NCSML Announces Lunch & Learn Webinars

The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library is pleased to announce a series of international webinars as part of its Lunch & Learn series. The three virtual programs, to be held in June and July, will encompass experts all over the world on topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Lunch & Learn: COVID-19 and our Maturing Population in the V4 and the U.S.

The Visegrad Group, also known as the Visegrad Four or simply V4, is the cultural and political alliance of four Central European countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. NCSML President and CEO Dr. Cecilia Rokusek will join medical experts from across the V4 and the United States to discuss the impact of the global pandemic on the more mature populations in all five countries from noon to 1 p.m. CTD on Wednesday, June 10.

Panelists will include:

Lunch & Learn: COVID-19 and the Medical Response across the Atlantic

This webinar will be a broad focus on COVID-19, comparing and contrasting responses in the United States, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Three medical experts will discuss the cause and effects of the global pandemic in all three countries from noon to 1 p.m. CTD on Wednesday, June 24. NCSML Vice President for Development and Marketing Jim Miller will moderate.

Lunch & Learn: COVID-19 and Its Impact on Higher Education

The effects of COVID-19 have affected the entire world in all facets of life. This webinar will feature some of the top experts in international education from the Czech and Slovak Republics, and the United States. As questions abound concerning what college and university campuses will look like this fall, both in the U.S. and aboard, join in for this live webinar from noon to 1 p.m. CDT on Wednesday, July 15. Larkin University President, Professor Rudi H. Ettrich, will talk with professors from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the United States about the impact on higher education.
