This summer, visitors to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art (CRMA) will be enjoying an exhibition of all Iowa artists. The new exhibition, entitled Into the Blue: An All–Iowa Juried Exhibition, on display June 8 – September 15, 2019, presents a wide range of styles and media unified by the common theme of the color blue. The stunning and varied work on display has been created within the last three years with blue as its dominant color. This All-Iowa artist exhibition has something for everyone and is a magnificent way to begin the CRMA’s summer season.

Associate Curator Kate Kunau juried the selections that resulted from a public call for entries. Executive Director Sean Ulmer comments, “Into the Blue is another in our series of juried exhibitions looking at contemporary art in Iowa. The CRMA has a long and rich tradition of supporting the local and regional art scene and Into the Blue is another facet of this continued interest.  Iowa is truly fortunate to have such an active and talented group of artists working today.”
