Calling all nature explorers! Join us once a month as we explore nature through hands-on-projects and stories. Some activities will involve going outside, weather permitting.
Be sure to wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather we will be having as well as clothing that you can get messy in.
January: Animal Tracks
February: V-Day Activities: heart scavenger hunt and/or snowball fight, homemade pet toys for CVHS
March: Plants & Birds, grow a seed and/or make a bird feeder to take home
Enjoy a performance of “The Enchanted Forest,” a children’s opera performed by the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre.
Anna Young’s children’s opera, “The Enchanted Forest, is suitable for all ages and has themes of making good choices & tolerance. It is also a ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ opera, as each audience will decide if the lead will be a hero (Prince) or a heroine (Princess). Our Young Artist cast will play all roles.
This performance has been created to be specially accessible for those needing a sensory-friendly environment.

We will use a type of clay that you can take home and bake in your oven.

Triangles are mighty, even if they are small! Come build geodesic domes and paper building models to test how high and how strong you can make these triangles go!
