|ICCA Names New Coordinator|
Nathan Shepard joined the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance in March 2014. As coordinator, he assists the board of directors and the Alliance’s 150+ partners in their efforts to strengthen and advance the Corridor region and the arts and culture sector through unique public and private partnerships, advocacy and awareness of cultural opportunities.
Shepard comes to ICCA with a range of experience working in the arts and culture community. He has volunteered and worked at several local organizations, including the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art and the African American Museum of Iowa. From 2010 to 2011 he served as the Symposium Chair for the Art History Society’s Annual Graduate Student Symposium at the University of Iowa.
Shepard has been a resident of the Corridor since 2006. He has lived in Mt. Vernon, Iowa City, and currently lives in Coralville. He earned a B.A. in History and Art from Cornell College and an M.A. in Art History from the University of Iowa.
