The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance
(ICCA) will hold its third annual Celebration
of the Arts, presented by the Eastern Iowa Airport, on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar
Rapids Public Library, 450 Fifth Avenue SE.
The luncheon will feature a lively and entertaining
presentation, America’s Creative
Crossroads: Cultural Planning in the Midwest, by guest speaker Harlan
Brownlee, President and CEO of ArtsKC, presented by the Iowa City/Coralville
Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. The program will include live
entertainment, presentation of 2013 Collaborative and Reaching Out awards, and
recognition of the 2013 Larry Eckholt and Cultural Advocate honorees.
Celebration of the Arts is ICCA’s annual meeting event, intended to elevate the awareness
of the artistic and cultural organizations in the Corridor and to celebrate the
outstanding collaborations of ICCA partners. All ICCA partners, business
partners, friends, and community members are invited to attend.

celebrate their shared success,” said Jessica Johnson, ICCA’s executive
director. “The arts serve to create a vibrant, thriving community and there is
an ever-increasing need to strengthen awareness and appreciation for the
quality of life they create in our region.”
Partner organizations are nominated for
the Collaborative and Reaching Out honors and the ICCA partnership votes on the
ballot. The organization who receives the highest number of votes receives the
honor and a Celebration of the Arts statue,
