|ICCA Presents Arts Advocacy Forum on February 13|
The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance (ICCA) will hold an Arts Advocacy Forum on Wednesday, February 13, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the African American Museum of Iowa, 55 12th Avenue SE, Cedar Rapids. Attendees will learn valuable information that will better equip them to successfully advocate for the arts. This event is open to the community.
An esteemed panel of community leaders, including: Linda Langston, Linn County Supervisor; Charles Swanson, Hancher; Ryan West, West Music Company; and Peggy Whitworth, Boyle Whitworth and Associates, will lead the discussion followed by a question and idea session moderated by Jim Kern, chair of the Cedar Rapids Visual Arts Commission and former executive director of Brucemore.
Immediately following the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to network while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and beverages. The event is free to ICCA Partners and $15 for non-ICCA partners. Anyone interested in attending should RSVP by February 11 to Jessica@culturalcorridor.org or 319.849.8278.
The Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance is delighted to provide professional development opportunities hosted throughout the Corridor. Each event includes a learning session lasting approximately one hour followed by a social hour with complimentary appetizers and beverages. Attendees are welcome to come and go during the events as their schedule permits.
