Novel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction. Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting.  Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.

Novel Conversations meets the third Thursday of each month from 7:00-8:00 pm in the Board Room. Refreshments are served!

In this year’s All Iowa Reads book, journalist Ted Genoways follows a year at the Hammond family farm, where the fifth generation of the Hammond family is trying to keep the farm going despite global, corporate, and environmental threats.

A Death Café is a group of people who are not
afraid to discuss and increase their awareness
of death in order to make the most of life.
The topics of our monthly discussions are
determined by the members of the group.
People are encouraged to bring snacks. This
is not a bereavement support group or grief
