Mother Goose on the Loose @ Downtown Library - Cedar Rapids

“Mother Goose on the Loose” is a 20-minute nursery rhyme program for newborns to three-year-olds, followed by a 30-minute playtime. This program helps strengthen babies’ and toddlers’ foundation for literacy with rhymes, rhythm, repetition, story and movement. Registration is no longer required!

This quilt exhibit will highlight The History Center’s collection of quilts was they relate to community and friendship.

Exploring the expressions of companionship through quilting patterns and styles, this exhibit reads between the stitches. Drawing on family connections and civic minded groups, the quilts displayed illustrate how people from Linn County represented their relationships through quilting.

Sprouts Bear Week at Wickiup Hill @ Wickiup Hill Learning Center

Children will enjoy a story, craft, or activities based on the theme. We will have a special display this week for spring break – don’t miss it! Ages 3-6, but younger and older siblings are welcome. Cost $2/child. Please call 892-6485 at least 2 days prior to program to register.

Virtual Reality @ Downtown Library - Cedar Rapids

Come experience virtual reality at the Cedar Rapids Public Library as we travel to strange and incredible places. Explore new worlds, solve puzzles, and outrun the occasional stray dinosaur. This event is held in the Maker Room.

Reading to Dogs @ Ladd Library

Make new furry friends as you improve your reading skills! Trained, certified therapy dogs provide comfortable companionship to emerging readers as they earn a free library book and bookmark. Everyone welcome to read to the dogs.Then stay as the pups perform at 7 p.m.!
